I know you get numerous requests for sponsorships for nearly every match, but I am proposing something different.

I have been an NRL22 member and match director since late 2019 and ran .22 matches for three years prior. I also hosted an NRL22X match and competed at three NRL22 Nationals, several NRL22X, a few PRS Rimfire, and 50+ local NRL22 matches in the mid-west and northeast.

I have a network of over 600 fellow shooters who are not at the top of the standings and probably never will be, hence, the “Semi-Precision”. However, since there are so many of us, we spend much more money on our equipment, travel, ammo, and gear to help us be more competitive and have fun.

With that in mind, I have started a new group called “NSG Shooters,” which stands for Not So Good Shooters. We rank somewhere in the middle and don’t get invited to shoot on teams or the early opportunities to walk the prize tables, and yet we are generally your target audience. The idea is we are a team and wear shirts that identify us to other NSG Shooters, promote the sport and our sponsors, encourage new shooters, and have fun with who we are. Each shooter’s shirt will have its own custom call sign. My call sign is “Semi-Accurate” because I am one of those who shoot a semi-automatic (KIDD.)

Website: Our website recognizes us differently by having a monthly drawing from our sponsor’s donations. Each month, the winner and that sponsor will be at the top of our website with links to you. The winning shooter can choose from the available items from our donations. Each NSG Shooter will have their name listed, the gear they use, and grand totals for each type of gear (feedback for our sponsors), along with other information TBD as requested. I have yet to meet someone who doesn’t love the idea and wants to wear the shirt. Everyone is welcome, and you don’t get kicked out because you won a big match. In the next 12 months, I am planning for our group to sponsor a match and act as RO’s for the stages, of course wearing our shirts with your logos. This is to be an annual event.

As A Sponsor. Your color logo will appear on the back of our shirts, our website, and any forums and social media where our shooters participate. I am printing up shirts for us and would like your participation as one of our suggested sponsors based on feedback from the shooters who use your gear and want to promote it. You are the ones our initial shooters suggested we reach out to first. Additionally, we will send you one of the shirts to display if you would like! We know you contribute a lot to our sport, and with your additional support, it would be more fun.

Additionally, we will be able to do polling, monthly or otherwise. Thus, if you have questions, we can ask our users and get you that feedback, as well as what gear they are currently using and things they would like to see in the industry. Use this as an opportunity to use to your advantage!

Prizes: We are seeking only prizes which are not a percentage off. I have often heard, “I am tired of gifts I must spend money on when I win.”  I get both sides; I am also a business owner. We all have budgets. One of the great things about this partnership is that we will use the same shirts for three years and space the prizes out over this three-year period. Thus, your marketing has been working consistently during this time.

I am not necessarily looking for the big ticket items (like a new Voodoo rifle); that may not be a reasonable request. However, we are more than willing to accept such a gracious offer. Suppose (not to pick on Voodoo, just an example) a sponsor would donate something of greater value. In that case, the random monthly winner(s) can choose to be put in a drawing for that prize at a predetermined time (quarterly or yearly), in this case, the Voodoo gun. The year-end drawing could be announced at NRL22 Nationals (TBD-I have not spoken with anyone yet.) This way, it is not a one-and-done for an expensive prize, and prizes will be marketed throughout the year. Each month, the winner and prize will be posted at the top of the website. More economical suggestions are the new Voodoo aluminum mags, which intrigue many of our Voodoo shooters (again, only as an example). Please, only stickers or hats if they are included as part of the prize(s) with something else.

I am attaching a preliminary mock-up of our shirts with some of our preferred sponsors shown; you are our first choice because we use your gear. We request a minimum donation of $2,250.00 MRSP in total gear to cover all three years ($750.00/year.) What you donate is entirely up to you, and anything is appreciated. The logos of our most significant sponsors will be on top of the shirts, etc. Our shooters can choose from hoodies with long sleeves and long or short-sleeved shirts. They are not limited to one shirt, so since this is a year-round sport, they will likely get two or more. Shirts will cost our shooters about $30-35.00 each; one shirt is included when they join and submit their information.

All NSG Shooters information collected will be available so you can learn more about your clientele. Please ask if you want to know anything additional, and we will share. We are here to benefit you, too!

The donation commitment deadline is Friday, December 15, 2023. This deadline will allow us time to have the shirts printed and sent out to our NSG Shooters early in the new year, 2024. Please reply with what you will commit for the three years, a print-quality graphic, website particulars you would like us to post (please be specific), and arrangements to receive the gear. If it is a rifle, we ask that you make arrangements with the winner directly for shipping due to the FFL requirements. Certificates work well, as they save us shipping costs. However, if you want to send all the gear to us, we will happily send it out to the winners as they are chosen. All gear will be posted on the website for the winners to choose from. All the donations will be on a master list with the person’s name next to the item selected and the date won.

Lastly, we are not affiliated with other groups (i.e., NRL22, PRS Rimfire, or any local club/range). We are an informal club and invite all shooters to join and wear the NSG Shooters shirt proudly!

If you have questions, please fill out the contact and I will personally get back to you shortly.

Thank you,
